What is it?Floating Oil Skimmer

The Micro Oil Skimmer ® is a small self-adjusting, floating weir skimmer. Made from durable Luran S Plastic, it is the most reliable and cost-effective oil skimmer available on the market today. It is ideal for the treatment of oily waste water and emergency spill clean ups in confined shallow areas as well as out in the open. 
How it works

The Micro Oil Skimmer ® is a floating self adjusting weir skimmer that rises and falls with water levels. As well as this, it is fitted with an independent floating head, which allows it to be used under an extensive range of pump sizes and still maintain optimum skimming effect.

Oil, sludge or other floating contaminant is drawn into the floating Micro Oil Skimmer ® and is carried through a suction hose to a  gravity separator tank where the bulk of contaminants may be easily removed. From there, water can be either reused or be subjected to further treatment depending on requirements. Three floats stabilise the self-adjusting skimmer and these also can be adjusted up or down to add further scope to water intake.                       An independently floating head keeps the cut constant depending on the amount of liquid being drawn. The smaller the size of the pump the finer the cut from the surface of the water.
